I think something really stinks with the jobs at national teams. In the fast ticker I signed up to manage Croatia. The goal from the board was to advance in the European Cup to certain level. By the time I signed up, all the European games were done, we only had 1 friendly and World Cup matches. We won the friendly and after that upset Netherlands in the first round of the World Cup in penalty shots. Our next opponent was Brazil, much better team than us. We lost 0-1 and I was fired for bad performance? “We can’t stand any more of your bad results”? For real? That’s when I decided to check on other teams. It looks like a national team manager is fired immediately after the very first loss, regardless of the level of competition, which stage the loss occurred. Teams losing in the final of the World Cup/European Cup get their managers fired immediately. So, one simple question – why?

Thanks, Felipe. No, I’m not using hotmail. I figured that they are probably on vacation. From what I see in the forums, they are pretty good at responding (I remember how long sometimes it took Peter to answer forum questions in SoccerSim :-)).

2. Old Soccersim managers

OMG, so this is were all the old guard from the SoccerSim is :-). Some good old names are around :-). Honestly, I thought I’ll never see you guyd around :-). And from other topics I see my good old buddy Berhan is also around :). I managed whole bunch of team in SoccerSim between various games – Stockport County (from thrid league all the way to the championship), Venezia, Vicenza, Sambenedettese, Perugia. But I was also pretty active in the forums as well, so I hope some of you remember me. Great, now if I can only get to be able to apply for a job (already reported it in the Bugs)…

I’m a new manager and I’m trying to apply for a job. I try in both games (fast and medium ticker), in any of the 3 possible ways (browse by country/club, go through the list of available jobs or even try to accept a random job) – and I get the same error. “We’re sorry, but something went wrong. We’ve been notified about this issue and we’ll take a look at it shortly.” I really would like to try this game since it reminds me a lot of the old SoccerSim/ManagerSim game.
