West Ham still hasn’t played, and it’ll only happen at turn 50 something… is this a consequence of this bug? Will they ever play the missed matches, or it’ll be like the italian’s punishment last year? ;)

I agree. The drag and drop screen is great and it gives us an amazing variety of choices when making tactics, while in SS we only had a combobox with 7 or 8 tactics. I think that in the future, when the game is ready, the D&D will be the cherry on the top of the cake.
Well Alex, i agree with you, but you can always send an in-game mail to the selling manager. I did it with a couple of players that i was interested, and the selling manager was happy to negotiate. Unfortunately lowering the price brought unwanted attention and i lost the players lol

I had some problem with the login and i’m not sure what it was.
Last time i was logged in i changed my display name and updated my bio, and now was trying to log in and all i got was a “Login Unsuccesful” message, don’t know if it had something to do with what i updated.
Anyway, password recovery worked just fine and i was able to login with the new one.

I often see whole sets of D’s with ratings over 9, and yet the tackle rate is under 50%. I know DMs are supposed to tackle a lot, but it still makes one wonder. ;)
Adding to the huge number of shots is, on the same team, more than 20 offsides. Imagine 40 shots and 20 offsides for the same team… it’s only 90 minutes, they had to make one good offense every 1 1/2 minutes. Well, my team could do that because i’m an excellent coach, but i’m talking about the bigger picture lol

Just another thing: When i look at match reports, the Ds, Ms and As before the players are their position, or the position they are occupying on the field? I mean, if i have a D playing as A will it show on the report as D or A?

Heading to this last tick i left an injured player on the starting team to see what the assistant would do. A midfielder was injured, and was replaced by a defender, while i still had another midfielder available to line up on this match. How does that work? Does a random player get thrown to the pitch? Or are there any conditionings? I’m asking this because i’m sure i won’t be able to log in before every league/cup match, and wouldn’t be that nice to wake up and check that a keeper or something played as a striker.
Talking about cup, a message with the draw result would help, if i didn’t have a friendly scheduled to the cup turn i probably still wouldn’t know the draw happened. ;)

Something’s odd at Ath.Bilbao. Check out their latest match report. There are 2 players that appear twice on their formation, Cervantes and Palacios. They both appear as D and A, even though if you check the squad there’s only one Cervantes and only one Palacios.

I was about to talk about the game engine, but i wasn’t sure where to put it (bugs or suggestions) as i’m sure you guys are aware that it needs tweaking. Browsing random matches i found a friendly between Bilbao and Barcelona where Bilbao had 41 shots lol. Im not saying it’s impossible, but it’s kinda unrealistic.
Player’s ratings have already been adressed, and they’re way too high. A couple of 10’s per match wouldn’t be that bad, even though imho it should only be used in some special cases.
Reading the “2 results for the same match” thread i got aware of the 6-0 that turned into a 10-0. Scores like that happen, i’m not denying it, but they’re rare, and usually are between a “Manchester-like” team against amateurs. We only have 2 divisions in each country here, so it seems way off to me.
I’m not sure where your main focus is right now in what matters to improvements, but besides the stuff that takes only a couple of minutes to implement, i think you should focus on the tactics and match engine. That’s what makes a football game great, after all. :)

I like to keep it a little longer, as in pressing the mail button and then the message about the match report. I used to hate whenever the board spoiled me the result with those “good/bad result” messages.
I find that page Alexandre mentioned quite important, i thought it was that link Gabriel talked about in his first post. Haven’t clicked there yet because the championship hasn’t started, but i thought it was the same as SS. It’s the easiest way to keep track of what’s going on result-wise.
And now that we don’t have it, i’m starting to understand how crucial the newspaper was. As it is right now, the only way to know if one of your opponents bought a player is to go to each squad every turn and compare their squads to what you copied to a word document in the previous turn. ;)
Even if it was just a “history” page on the team it would help a lot, with players bought, sold, etc.

I tried some since Peter first told that MS was going to die, but as soon as i got the question “Give a name for your team” i gave up. It’s just not the same playing in League Alpha Beta ++ with Besteamintheworld FC.
I understand the choice, as that way is easier to ask for money, it doesn’t break any copyright… but it’s not the same, not even close…

No, it sent me to the player’s profile as if i was watching any non-listed player, just his stats, team, wages, etc.
Still on the message thing, why do we need to have a subject? ;)
Is it only possible to have one ongoing negotiation at the same time?
I offered a contract to one player, kept searching and all i get whenever i press on another player’s “transfer” link is that player’s profile.
Not sure if this is a bug or if i just didn’t find where it was…

I find it “too clicky” to send an ingame message to another manager. A link on the team’s main page would be nice, instead of having to click in the team, manager and send message.
I’m planning on sending lots of messages, at least while we can’t make custom bids to players, i’m tired of getting that “you can’t afford this player” message lol. ;)
On the individual orders i’d like to suggest, besides what we had in Soccersim, that we could determine for each player what we can choose for the team as a whole. Tackling mentality, shooting range, passing style, and maybe if he’s allowed to cross. Would be nice to tell a player that received a yellow card in the last match (or a highly aggresive one, for that matter) that he should tackle easy, or tell your keeper to pass long, or tell a specific midfielder that he should shoot from distance, without having to tell that to the whole team. ;)
Imagine you have a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3 formation saved on your profile, and a 3-5-2 under Default. As it is right now it’s not possible to save that 3-5-2 from the Default without creating a new one named 3-5-2 and building the tactic all over again. A “save tactic as…” would do that.
The “set tactic as default” would be useful to load one of your other tactics (4-4-2 or 4-3-3 in the example) and put it under Default, so whenever you chose, ie, that from now on you’d like to start playing a 4-4-2 instead of 3-5-2, you didn’t have to click Default and manually copy what you had under 4-4-2.
I used to MO the whole season in Soccersim, but there were always problems with it as the cups and friendly matches came along. I can live with having to go to the fixture screen and set every match with the desired tactic, but i think this would save me a lot of time.
I’m not sure if i was clear. The example was given considering you had all your matches scheduled to play with the default tactic.

I’m glad you feel that way Gabriel. I was starting to feel like Alexandre, while it’s plain clear in my head that all i want to do is help by pointing out stuff that needs to be improved, it could sound through your eyes that i was just bitching and complaining, which clearly isn’t the case. I think i can speak for every tester when i say that we all keep in mind that this is just the very beginning of what might become an excellent game, and that we all thank the developers for the hard work that you guys had bringing this up. :)
Aren’t wages supposed to be paid every 3 turns? We’re already at the 4th turn and i have 0 in Player Wages.

The team’s name is missing next to the player’s name, on the market. It’s more obvious now that i don’t know the name of my bad players, but everytime i go to the transfer market i have to click on the player to see if he’s mine or a new one from someone else.
Not that big of a deal since we all got logged in, but a message saying “thanks for signing up, your password has been sent to your email” wouldn’t hurt. ;)
Is there a way to change the default tactic that automatically shows up in the fixture screen?
For instance, i have a tactic called “A”. In all matches i have to change from Default to A. It wouldn’t be much of an issue if i could load tactic A and save it under Default without having to do it all over again, i don’t think we can do that yet.
