DaMaGo, he didn’t call you stupid as a person, just the principle of transfer-listing players that aren’t really for sale…

Thanks for the clarifications Dhimitri & Vaughn!

So the whole point of my questions was to see if it was in my better interest to just schedule friendly games at my home with computer teams of 1st divisions…

Actually that brings up another question, any difference between playing a friendly with a 1st division team of Turkey instead of Spain for example???

Well, my team comprised mostly of veterans has made a fantastic run but all good things must come to an end. I certainly never expected to achieve this level of success. Believe it or not, my board wanted me to reach the group stage. Me and the “boys” (or men I should say) made the superiors proud… Hopefully Marseille can bring home France’s first CL cup!!!

Anyhow, I wish to thank Sylvain (Brest) and my twin brother Charles (Auxerre) for helping me out throughout the past 2 seasons. I wouldn’t be where I am without them…and a very special mention to Luc Blomme.

And regarding the language issues, as far as I know, Francois (Marseille), Martin (Grenoble, Ali (Nice), Charles (Auxerre), and Me (Monaco) all speak French fluently…

Last but not least, despite not getting to finals to play Marseille, I’m very happy and proud to see France gaining the number 1 spot in Europe in terms of UEFA points. I never thought we’d get there quickly since there was a 40 point spread with Spain last season. It’s amazing how things can change so quickly which is a lesson for all of us…never keep your guard down as there’s always another country gunning for the top place. Who knows, we may be the victims next season hehehe.

Bonne Chance Marseille!

1) I have had players OVER 24 growing in a few stats.
2) Coaching level is also a very important (and expensive) factor.
3) Players DO grow if they are subbed at the 55th minute…but not after correct? Also, subbing at the 55th minute doesn’t affect stamina as much.

“i personally think it’s just stupid. I don’t TL players I don’t want to sell.”

My thoughts exactly…however my feedback was a tad more diplomatic he he he

Is there any possibility of including some kind of end of season “award” section. We could have them country by country and then a global one with a golden boot, top keeper, top manager, most improved team/manager, biggest underachiever, etc…

I remember having these types of ceremonies within the in-game forums of ManagerSim (with the green background).

I have a few questions pertaining to skill growth:

1) Is there a difference between playing a computer team as opposed to a human-controlled one?

2) Is there a difference between playing a 1st division team as opposed to a 2nd division team?

3) Does the players fielded by your opponents impact growth, i.e. playing a friendly versus a 1st squad as opposed to a 2nd squad?

4) Since youth players have base skills related to the actual country (where he was spawned) UEFA points, when do those changes come in effect? For example, France in FT was 3rd as the beginning but will finish 1st at the end of the season; when would their managers actually notice an increase in the quality of their youth players? Is it progressive over a few seasons or can we already expect improvements in season 32?

Yes I do envy Getafe for spawning such a great player Dhimitri. But even if I had the money, I wouldn’t spend that much on 1 player since I could not afford hiring anybody else. Can’t win games by only fielding a super duper mega striker with no keeper hehehehe

The level of realism in this game has reached a new point…

It’s great to see managers proud of their accomplishments & player developments…but to transfer list a player with the sole purpose to show everyone lacks tact in my opinion…

Somebody please explain the logic of listing this player for $249,500,000?

Why bother putting him on the transfer list in the first place?

And may I add, DAMN he’s good…

Is this result a joke?

Lens 3 – 3 Monaco
3-4-3 formation 4-4-2
47% possession 53%
4 shots 19
4 shots on target 16
84% accurrate passes 91%
52% effective tackles 45%
2 corners 3
9 offsides 3
18 fouls 13

3 Goals on 4 shots??? This isn’t very realistic…as well as the 5 ties I’ve had in 9 games…

You’re crazy or simply delusional in thinking that $70m is his “true worth”. In reality, his true worth is $18,016,228.

And proof that you’re asking above and beyond what’s reasonable, here’s a BETTER player that I bought last year. Same age but BETTER stats than Emílio Leitão.

See for yourself: http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_info/67029

How much did I pay? $13,759,788 which is his natural value.

Can France overtake both Spain & Portugal?

Highly unlikely this season but watch out for the seasons to come!

My predictions at the end of season 30:
1-Brazil (no surprise)
2-Portugal (upset wins in both CL & UEFA predicted)
3-Spain (will come back in force in season 31)
4-France (status quo for the moment but may be a sleeping giant with the recent manager additions)
5-Italy
6-Argentina
7-Germany

The player below was negotiating a contract which we could not come to terms on. I see as of turn 112 he still has not left our club but we are still negotiating. His contract had ended back at 108. I terminate negotiating with him and see he is now a contracted 1 yr player on last yrs wage. Not bad if you have a fast growing superstar and want to keep your wage bill down. If only payrises were done like this! LOL.

Next fustration is that I have 27 in my main squad, 2 on loan. The board will not allow me to fire him due to too small a squad. MMMMMMM, i dont think so. As you can see he is true french talent!
