I’m going to try another tactic but I need an Midfielder® for it which I haven’t. I need him fast and can’t use my scouts for 8 turns so if someone have one for sale, send me a message.
I prefer a player with mainskills near 90 and good secondaries.
I am searching for a good striker and a good midfielder for a reasonable price. I prefer the ones for the centerpositions. They have to be able to battle for a position in my A-team. If you got one (for sale), send me an ingame message (or post it on the forum)

Lowered the price to the minimum my board accept.
I lowered the transferprice to 5M. He really has to leave the team. I can use the open spot and I still have 2 young promissing goallies. BTW you can loan them.

I can follow your thoughts Jason and I guess you are right. In medium ticker there are less “perfect player statistics” as you call it than in fastticker but the number also grows I think.
In my opinion in the mean skills like tackling, passing and shooting let’s say a 92+ player must be one of the best and a 95+ player an exception. So the average will be between 85 and 90 in mean skills.
In secondary skill I think the average can be a little higher but not in every skill. But also here a perfect statistic must be an exception.
e.g. A small player will be good in dribbling (and speed) but less effective in heading in the average. A tall one will mostly be a good header but won’t be that maneuverable.
Keep in mind the perfect player doesn’t exist in RL so they can’t exist in ruby neither.
Players like Kaka or Ronaldo are an exeption.
Let’s keep the match engine like it is now. I agree I had strange results and a lot of ties but also in RL the best team doesn’t always win.

Ok, he is good but take a look at Barichello (Torino) when you don’t have the money to buy this one. ;)
He is a great goalkeeper and I will consider every reasonable amount.

@ amacb: Keeper sucks??? 100 GK ,94 speed and 100 heading. I wish I had a goalie like that. I also took a look at the team set-up and the GK of Napoli in the 2nd half sucks. So Vaughn really had to score one goal.
For me Napoli was just lucky or had choosen the right tactics.
I guess they just look at the final result and the 3 points. :) They expected you draw or loose with a closer score (0-1, 0-2)
Napoli is lucky now maybe you are lucky at the end of the season and get the league victory. ;)

I just figured it out. I had 1 GK loaned and 1 on loanlist… he is fired now…thanks
When I want to fire one of my goalkeepers I get this message: “Cannot fire player. Our squad is already too small.” I have 3 goalkeepers in my squad right now and have 26 players in my team + 4 players loaned out. I can fire a fieldplayer but no goalkeeper. Do you need a certain number of goalkeepers in your squad?
Sad to see Genoa gets no new manager! An old glory in Italy , CL and uefa cup winner is doomed to have an anonymous existence in Italian Serie A.
Ok, the players became old but a good manager can make the team back combative. I guess they have a decent amount of money on the bank nowadays.

For this player the skill punishment of 3 will make him less effective in the attack.
Nevertheless I had a defender with Genoa in fastticker (Owen Pearce) who had 99 shooting and good secondaries. Let him play in front and he made many important goals. So It’s always a guess…

When you would lower the age till 24, the 30+ aged players will become useless again. A 30+ aged player is already loosing skillpoints so in general the 24 y.o. player will be better.
