Hank you nail it. Thanks your got the point. Finally, because there are a lot of complains from top team with top players, than just can take a defeat with what they have… chew it down….i think i have great players but every season i struggle with small teams, who implement better tactics than me. When my team was so weak, it was a great feeling to beat the top teams…… and i like that….and in the real game, too…..

Hank, very well said. That’s exactly my gut feeling about all this. And don’t worry guys, we will keep investing as much time as we can in the match engine.

cheers!

Alexander, we have all experienced games where the results made absolutely no sense, but you pointed out two results that included my team. You said the results were random, I proved by showing you my last 14 non-friendly games that the results were not random. Also, I reached the CL semifinals last season. How much luck must I have to get all the right random results in my favour. I guess I also had random results for 3 seasons straight were I won the title twice and now sit in 2nd chasing Sylvain for the title.

I may not have the great players that you have, but I have found a successful tactic that is able to swing games in my favour versus tougher opponents. Managers change tactics all the time when they are playing tougher opponents. The big teams of the world sometimes struggle against weaker teams. Almost every season in every country’s cup some minnow goes farther than they are expected.. Look at AC Milan, not even in CL, and gone from Uefa Cup. Another example of real life is Man City. The owner has spent lots of money on getting “big” players….how’s that working for them.

Listen, I understand your frustration that in “theory” better players should beat lesser players, but, then why have any tactics. Then all we’d be doing is buying players to stock up our teams with the best players. Find the happy medium between players, tactics and everything else is what’s key. Is it perfect right now, no, but it’s not that bad.

Topic: Serious issues with match engine

Well, i’m with Alexander and with the french “rat pack” …
First, player are not just to value by their main skill. Second, the success in competitions of a manager should depend on the quality of his players and their fitting on managers personal tactic/strategy. If one found out the perfect fit for his team he should see the result in the match reports: more ball possesion, more shots on goal, better plaer rating etc.

For me, the frustrating part on the current match engine is:
The match report doesnt show any logic in the system. One team with average players rating 9.5, the other with 4.5, 30×5 shots and a 0-1 result. How can attacker get a 10 when they doesnt score in 20 attempts? vice versa when they get a ten they should score 5 times against mminor teams…

I can give you endless reports, not just of my matches, where is absolutely no relation of the criteria mentioned above. Thats too often the case to call it “random factor”.

But i suppose danilo and Gabriel are aware of the problem and try to improve that with the next enhanement of the match engine.

Alexander, I’m going to give you 5 examples and then let you in on a little secret about your “random factors” comment:
.
Season 20 turn 101: Napoli vs Brest: 4-0
Season 20 turn 110: Brest vs Napoli: 4-1
Season 20 turn 128: Lyon vs Napoli: 0-0
Season 20 turn 131: Napoli vs Lyon: 1-2
Season 21 turn 98: PSG vs Napoli 1-0.
.
Now. You beat me 1st game last season. I’ll let you in on a secret. I found something that worked tactically vs you and I beat you 2nd game. Another secret is that Me, Lyon manager and PSG manager are what you call “friends”. We know each other from Managersim and discuss things. We know each others tactics and way of playing. We try to use this to our advantage to put “france” on the map in Rubysoccer. Now…for me to beat you and then Lyon and PSG (who are friends) …..I don’t consider this random at all. Another thing here is, you paste main stats of players. I thought you were better then that. It’s not all about main stats, all stats are important. When you look at my team I think I’m living proof of that.
.
Now Lyon managed to win the UEFA CUP and get to CL finals season after. Is this random to? To get lucky 2 straight seasons in a row? If you look at Lyon his team you might wonder how he did it? But to call certain things random or luck…..HELL NO! I think you are missing something here Alexander. I’m not trying to “attack” you here. I’m just saying I believe there is more to this game then just having great players. Having the best team doesn’t win you games. Look at Real Madrid in real life….
.
Regards,
Sylvain Dingenouts

And, based on your suggested lineup, you’d be wrong. In fact, I don’t use my 99 passer, so he is for sale if you value high passers. :)

Sorry about that, I’ve made some changes to the system lately and those transfer showing 0 turns left would never be processed…they should be displaying 1 turn left now and will go through on next tick.

We had an enhancement for that and it was canceled. I guess we have more pros than cons in this case. I’ll reopen it.

Could you add a feature to cancel loan if BOTH managers agree. Penafiel manager in Fastticker loaned my player doesn’t need him anymore, I want to loan him to anther club, so we are both for the cancellation. So there should be no breaking loan fees, just the player should return home =)

Topic: Loan cancel

Please dont allow it to be abused
if you do recall a player then a break in contract should take effect
if a player is loaned out and payed for than is it not the managers perogitive on what he does with him
he is footing the bill, it cant be all one way in your favour, especially since you are reducing your risk and xpecting another club to develop.

Maybe a posible bonus point system for players loaned out : incentive!

The board doesn’t allow you to expand your stadium if your financial situation is not going to be regular after the expansion.

can’t we merge this thread with the other one where we were discussing the same topic… it is better to discuss one thing at one place

This post has been moved to Youth Grow Too Slow in General Forum.
I have reposted the contents of this discussion into that discussion, so, we will not miss anything. That would make it easy for everyone to understand each others ideas and come to a conclusion…

Lets not post anymore here…

In my opinion 40-50% of a players potential should be possible to reveal during “Youth academy” time if thats obtainable of course depends on matches played, quality of coaching and time factor the only get the “boost” when they are in the youth academy after that its normal development.

Just my idea on how to do it :)

my player is 16 yrs old 80 shooting 70 most of the rest
his name is kevan… he has scored 56 goals in 22 games in friendlies

his skill doesnt up or improve

its becoming to be bs trying to develop players when they should be developing when they get playing time and scoreing like my player is

Gabriel

I see all sides to the story here.
My two bobs worth

In real life we generally can see an individuals skills and traits. Its not as common that mature age people step up another step, except for situations where they had talent but due injury, opportunity etc.

This game is vgood but it does fustrate with the lack of movement with youth players. Im not asking for the game platform to make it too easy to see who is a runaway star, however atleast a solid player can be seen BUT would like some more regular movement of primary and secondary stats to reward league/friendly and training efforts. You may allow more movement in specific stats asto elude to potential with the risk that a few more years training/playing he could be a possible star etc

Maybe add a section to coaches that allows you to individually try and train a player on a skill you require. This may effect the overall stats but helps you target weekness in your team and mould as a manager what you need. Maybe a long term vision enhancement.

But definetly for now it would be nice to see that most stat increases are achieved by early 20’s and loss of statistics in early to mid 30’s. This may first start with a dropoff in sec stats like speed/control etc as that is more realistic. Stts increasing later into your 20’s is not really great as the player has a shelf life.

I can bearly catch my kids now as my 38yr old legs have had a hammering from Australian Rules Footbal and Tennis but my brain still works, just!
LOL

then you have a limit on how many much that person gets if contract is broken

salary isnt in the equation just a flat fee thats not so big and not too small

I don’t think it would be unfair as much, at the end of the day he is your player and you should decide who is going to loan him. It’s no good your player going somewhere a manager doesn’t play him.

The criteria for selecting the team where the loaned player goes is highest wage percentage, longer period, weakest squad, in this order. An option to select the team would be unfair, but we plan to have some loan clauses to help, like minimum coaching level, minimum official matches played, etc.

Is the team where the loaned player goes selected automatically? If so maybe an option to choose where your player goes would be a good idea, i mean as in an accept loan agreement tab or something similar.

Thanks Alexander!

We have received some complaints about this and we think we can improve the system. Youth players should improve a little bit faster, making it easier to tell whether or not he will become a good player. After being promoted to the regular squad things could go back to the speed we have now.

Cheers!

There was a way until some time ago, but then we removed this option since it could be used to transfer money between teams (by paying the cancellation fee). We may add that back in the future along with some sort of control, but for now you’ll have to wait until the end of the loan contract.

Topic: Loan cancel

Hi there,

i haven’t found an option to cancel a loan, so i contact the regarding club for it. Unfortunally he didn’t find an option for it to.

Is there a way to cancel or recall a player that is loaned, maybe against a fee of wages?

Topic: When will youth players demand a contract?

Hi Alexander,

Youth players takes from 60 to 276 turns to ask for a contract. After they ask you have 12 turns to answer. There is no way to shorten or influence this time.

Cheers!
