He’s only on the transfer list in case the computer team madness returns, or in case a human manager doesn’t know what to do with his money.
Gérman Angeleri
Offering 25% of the price I am willing to pay him for is not a serious bid, it’s just a ‘I bid to annoy’ bid.
I don’t think that you really believe that I would sell the player for that price, especially since you just bid again after I removed it.
But if you do: can you say what your best and most talented players are worth?
Are you just doing bids on players to annoy people, or what?
Any idea when this new youth system will be implemented? I suppose there will be an official announcement on it?
Recently the tick times for both dimensions are about half an hour. Something wrong?
The fun is over now, right?
I think it would be a safe bet that people are willing to pay the player value for at least two of the three mentioned players.
Yeah I hoped you would both make it, but alas. But the feyenoord-manager wasn’t too disappointed, it was a calculated risk.
And I see you have some good youngsters, not sure if they’re good enough in 2 seasons to compete for the top, but I’m sure they will be one day :)
The top 3 this year was the same as last year, PSV, Groningen and VVV. Henk with De Graafschap debuted with a good 4th place. Unfortunately Feyenoord will have to play a level lower next season after selling their best players, but I think they will be back on the highest level soon. Not sure what to think of Den Bosch: the players are too strong for the Eerste Divisie, but the team doesn’t win enough…
Nice also that more and more human managers are coming to The Netherlands.
Grats, not easy to do in France.
I don’t see at all how this helps to fix the current cpu behaviour.
Maybe add a simple rule for computer managed teams: don’t pay more than player value?
Yes, something like Dcaniva says seems a good idea.
“RubySoccer is and will always be a free game.” it says on the donations game, and that’s good. However, I woulnd’t mind if the developers would try to get some more donations to cover the costs of the game. A way to do this would be a model where you can pay for small benefits in the game (as is done in some other games).
Who would be willing to pay for small benefits? Who objects against this idea? Also important, what benefits?
What I can think of is a higher squad limit. 32, or 35 maybe. A lot of teams don’t reach the limit of 30 anyway, but for those that do, it might be nice to have a way to get more players anyway.
Any other ideas?
Grats! And Emmen, last year second, is now going back to the Eerste Divisie.
Anyone?
PSV is selling some young players for up to 78% discount on the player value.
Thomas Hyett 21yr Value 7.8M, price 2.8M
Francisco Beltranejo 21yr Value 12.5M, price 4.5M
Sergio Mastroeni 21yr Value 7.8M, price 2M
Jan Prinsen 20yr Value 4.4M, price 973k
Take a look at http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/636
Looks like a good result for the home team.
What about coding CPU teams so they are buying players trying to improve their team, either right away or as a future prospect?
“But the CPU teams were made so smart and error free kind of managing”
As far as I see, the CPU teams in the new countries don’t do transfers at all. At least, I checked some teams in Croatia and I didn’t see any team who bought or contracted a player.
Shouldn’t they try to become stronger?
I noticed something in the match PSV vs Grenoble. http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/1861125
Attendance: 35946
The stadium has 68000 seats and is normally full in league matches. Then I looked at some other matches and it seemed to me that it was no coincidence, but that CL matches have lower attendance then league matches.
Assuming I am right: is it a bug or is it really supposed to work this way? In both cases I think it should be changed…
“If there was no money in the game prices would drop and transfers would be made but I dont believe that is the case”
It’s very hard even to sell players at the minimum price allowed….
I agree with tim, the game has become less interesting with the changes on the transfer market. Making it more interesting would make it easier to attract new managers ;)
Just for the record, this subforum is for pointing out mistakes in the game (bugs).
So you had the wrong settings and you blame it on the game? :)
The real world cup is a tournament of seven teams, with the CL and CA winners seeded for the semifinal. In Rubysoccer there are only two continents, but still, a tournament wouldn’t be unrealistic.
PSV was long on top in the Eredivisie in season 62, but then I had a losing streak and Gabriel’s Emmen took over. Then it was his turn to spoil points and he needed to win our match in round 37… he lost though, so PSV champion again!
No luck for me in the CL though: 9 points was not enough to qualify for the next round. VVV Venlo did better, reaching the semifinals of the EL. Alas they won’t play in Europe in the coming season.
In de Eerste Divisie De Graafschap was unlucky. After trying for a long time, it looked like they would go up finally, but a loss in the last round meant fourth place, 2 points behind the number two.
Groningen and AGOVV, both teams with big stadiums, got new managers. There teams are not so strong yet but I expect that to change. A good financial situation will help.
But it has been fixed :)
Funny. Midticker has the countries, but not the flags.
