I noticed you can have three away (or three home) games in a row in the CL/EL etc. I think it’s better not to have that. I suggest the following pairings:

Rd 1: 1-4, 2-3
Rd 2: 4-3, 1-2
Rd 3: 2-4, 3-1
Rd 4: 4-2, 1-3
Rd 5: 3-4, 2-1
Rd 6: 4-1, 3-2

I actually posted this before I saw the pairings for the CL in midticker, but it’s a good example of what should be avoided if possible (and it is possible)

80 AZ x GAIS Champions League

True. The problem here is that we use the same system for groups and leagues. While it works pretty well for leagues (usually 20 teams), it generates these pairings for groups of four.

Definitely worth changing!
