Yep, if we do this it would be with all the restrictions that Samir mentioned: no transactions between your 2 teams, no friendlies between your 2 teams and the teams must be from different continents. I think that’s enough to prevent cheating. Of course if you’re such a good manager that you win Libertadores with one team and Champions League with the other then you will play against yourself in the Club World Cup…but then you deserve it! :-D

Would be nice if you can’t benefit of the other team and only if the teams are in different continents.

Saw the topic and forgot to reply :D

I think if you can make it that people cant use that for benefict of one’s team then ok, would be nice for me too, but probably would leave MT lol

Not many people care to reply in the forums these days so I’ll park it for now and maybe create a poll to revisit this at a later stage.

I had been thinking about the same thing actually. Maybe try it out for one season to see how it works out?

Let’s see what others think, but just to make it simple I’ll point out that we may be able to do it without requiring a separate user per person, we just need to introduce a concept where you can have 2 “managers” linked to the same user in a particular dimension.

Cheers

It’s because of those paterns in buying and selling, which first have us the impression they might be cheating.

I agree with Gabriel and Filipe. We should fire them and keep an eye on them.

Can’t you create a list of all new managers every x turns? This way admins/ game masters can easily keep an eye on ghost accounts or double accounts. I guess these accounts will become floating on top like oil on water. There will be patterns in their transferbehavouir like the managers they transfer with.

I agree with Gabriel, but we should not be giving them this opportunity… They will just get better ways to cheat and create doubt so we have to let them continue with it. Also even if they stop cheating they will have great teams for many seasons more, teams created by cheating, teams other managers know were made that way and know they continue there… IMO we are sending the wrong message: cheat all you can till we find out, then stop cheating and it wont happen nothing to you…

We should be firing the ones we know cheated, Rene, Tadeu and Cardoso seem obvious to me are the heads of this cheating network. We cant be just firing their fake acounts because they will just create more and get better at it…

I don’t think he needs an alert, the conversation we had should be enough. If anybody spots another suspicious transfer just post here and we’ll fire him (and reduce his reputation).

Now the new manager performance tool is implemented, we have to send him a message that one other suspicious transfer (and only one) will fire him. Enough is enough. Every manager begins with the same credit but he has a history.

I’ve told Gabriel time and time again, enough is enough with these guy’s. How much more evidence do you need? Apparently it’s never enough with that Rene Siiva. He’s been given the benefit of the doubt for about 15 seasons now.

Marcos Tadeu en Rene Silva switch teams recently and after half a season they went both back to their original teams. Why would you do something like that? Right away some players are sold. (Rene Silva to Flavio Galante). Same with Marcos Tadeu when he is with Kickers, right away buys 2 players for 220M and sells one to the other manager for 50M. Fishy if you ask me. Btw this other manager Antonio Carlos Ferezin is fired for bad performance a couple of turns after this transfer.

I like the idea of marking cheaters (we had that planned already, something called reputation that needs to be clearly visible in key places). The board restrictions are also interesting. I’ll try to do both ASAP.

Thanks guys.

In Managersim if you were warned to something, it came with a board restriction. The game wouldn’t allow you for an X amount of time to offer more then 4 times player value or something. So couldn’t do any strange transfers anymore. Problem in rubysoccer is that player value is just so high it wouldn’t work here. To many players have very high values, but perhaps we can think of something like only 25% player value or something. It has to be something that you would really find annoying :)

I agree with Filipe’s suggestion. When you see a cheater is marked, managers would think twice before cheating themselfes.

I agree with Dirk, and as we see they return and keep doing the same no matter what you do. Maybe you should try some more educational ways… A manager would be not only fired but also marked as cheater (something in his profile or a different colour in his name), this mark would stay there for a pre-determined time and if in that time he didn’t cheat would be removed… This way people would know that guy cheated and he would (in theory) be shame for what he did…

Sly, here I am. Was a little busy lately. Welcome as a game master Filipe.
I guess these guys are already passed your stadium of a formal warning , Gabriel. Their transfers are much too fishy. You can’t have that much luck with managers giving high transferamounts for regular players like Rene Siva has. The guys clearly do transfers between each other.

Problem is when you would bann them they could come back with a different name.

Hi guys, thanks for the invitation hope I can be usefull as a GM. Something I’ve noticed is that only Gabriel and Sly posted in the few recent posts… I think it would be easier for an admin to make a decision If all us gave our opinion about every case…

Cheers

Mane Patavinas had been banned before and a flaw in our system allowed him to return and get a new club. That’s why I’ve banned him again, I didn’t even have to look at his transfers.

I guess you’re right, I’m too kind sometimes :-(
I’ll start adopting a new policy and keep a better track of cheaters (maybe posting new threads here every time I warn one of them). The new policy will be to give them a formal warning including the reason they were considered cheaters. If the same thing happens again, fire from the club. The third time means ban. In this case even if the manager was naive or lucky the first time he’ll think twice before taking advantage or not letting us know about fishy transfers.

Mane Patavinas was banned I see? I see 1 of his last deals was also with Rene Silva right? He bought a 31 year old 100 tackler for the insane price of 97 million. Did you fire him on the grounds of that?

Personally Gabriel, I think it’s simple. The facts are stacked against Rene Silva. Even if he’s just the luckiest guy in the game, with this I meen….he manages to find total idiots to pay is insane asking prices. I think you can sleep sound if in the total history of Rubysoccer…..there was 1 guy you banned unfairly. Isn’t that how the death penalty in the U.S.A works? There legal system is quite flawed……and yes….sometimes someone that is innocent get’s the death penalty, but think about all the guy’s who did deserve it :)

Perhaps it’s time to act on it, and send out a message. If you are doing anything remotely fishy, it’s an instant ban. Perhaps it’s time for ZERO TOLLERANCE. You are just to kind to all these “alleged cheaters” :)

Yeah, no need to look at my files. The post is still on the forum!!!

It’s called “Manager: Douglas Cinalli”

Fishy dealing going on here and I noticed he’s been fired by the admins before. He keeps trading with the same managers. I never trust those managers who are just dealing with each other. Why was he fired before? As usual it’s old players being sold to this “ghost” manager. Same old shit going on if you ask me….

134 Kickers Offenbach => Nantes
38 Kickers Offenbach => Nantes
50 Eintracht Frankfurt => Nantes
55 Nantes – Manager Resigned.
10 Kickers Offenbach => Nacional
10 Eintracht Frankfurt => Nacional

These were all VERY VERY fishy deals from Rene Silva and Douglas Cinalli. Mostly very old players going for INSANE prices.

I can make time for this. It’s always alot of puzzeling and going over the history of certain deals. Then through good judgement of certain deals we need to decide if this was a possible “cheat” transfrer. Let me look into some of my documents I made on cheaters. That name Felix Cardoso sounds very familour. I think I told you about him before. I believe I linked him into that network of cheaters before……

Gabriel, perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad idea to approach Filipe Silva (manager Man U in fast) to join the ranks of Game masters? He seems devoted in getting cheaters. He’s been around as long as anyone else in here. It’s your call, but I don’t think it’s a bad idea to let him join us. The more “cheater hunters” the better right?

It’s just all very very complicated and complex catching them.

Ok back to your names. I think I told you about those Cinalli “brothers” ages ago. I wanted them fired aswell. What those guy’s are cooking, sure as hell stinks!!!
