I’ve added 100 seats to my stadium just to see if there would be any raise in the prices as the stadium gets bigger, but it doesn’t seem like it. I think it should, otherwise stadiums will just keep getting bigger and bigger until they get more people inside than some small towns do. If with 33k seaters we see wages of 200k, i can only imagine with 100k seaters… well, maybe with bankrupcy things could change a little, i don’t know.

Also, there isn’t any real advantage in building more than 100 seats. You pay the same per seat as you would if you’d built 1000, and you get them faster, therefore making ticket money faster.

Cheers.

Hi. I would like to know from you guys what is the reason to add seats to the stadium!

Let’s make some calculations:

You pay 400.000 per 100 seats.
What do you gain?
If you have 20 games at home in one season, and if the stadium is always sold out, you gain 10€*100seats*20games = 20.000€ in one season

You will only start to gain some money in 20 seasons! I believe we will have a reset before that =)

The seats do get more expensive and take longer to build, but that happens every 10k seats. Here is the logic

Cost / Time to build 100 seats depending on the current stadium size:
0-10.000 = $100.000, 1 turrn
10.000-20.000 = $200.000, 2 turrns
20.000-30.000 = $300.000, 3 turrns
30.000-40.000 = $400.000, 4 turrns
40.000-50.000 = $500.000, 5 turrns
50.000-60.000 = $600.000, 6 turrns
60.000-70.000 = $700.000, 7 turrns
70.000-80.000 = $800.000, 8 turrns
80.000-90.000 = $900.000, 9 turrns
90.000-100.000 = $1.000.000, 10 turrns

If you make some calculations you’ll see that it takes around 550M for a team to go from a 1k stadium to a 100k stadium, and it won’t happen before 38 season of continuous stadium expansion. We may refine these in the future (like make the price and period different every 5k seats instead of 10k like it is now).

We know that the value you pay to increase the number of seats won’t be recovered so soon if you think of how much your ticket income will rise, but we plan to use the stadium size in the future for a few more purposes (it could influence the number of youths you have, sponsorship deals, how many coaches, physios, scouts you can have, and so on).

Cheers!

Gabriel, the question is: Will we have that stuff (number of youths increased, sponsorship deals, etc…) before a reset happens? I still think it is a waste of money adding new seats…

I see your point Gamboa, the thing is, we don’t clearly have in mind at which point we will need a reset. If more countries were added, that would be a good moment for a reset, but that’s not gonna happen so soon, as it would only increase the number of CPU teams. We could do a reset right away to “solve” the rich teams/crazy wages dilemma, but we still wouldn’t have that new features associated with the stadium size. To sum up, a reset will be done as soon as we or the users feel the time is right to do that, even though there will always be some that will be unhappy about that :-)

Sorry I wasn’t able to precisely answer your question.

Cheers!

I have 36200 seats at the moment, is it smarter to add 3 times 1000 seats, reach 39200, then add 700 seats, reach 39900, then start adding by 1000 seats again (because 1000 seats at 39900 cost 4M and at 40000 they start to cost 5M) ?

Unfortunately yes. The cost should be proportional but it isn’t yet. In your example you should pay 400k for 100 seats and 4.5M for the other 900 to go from 39900 to 40900. Enjoy while you can, we’ll change that ;)

Cheers!

I think you had no chance to enjoy at all Alban, I’ve already changed the stadium logic to make the price fair when you’re going to the next size level, so in your example you won’t pay 4M anymore to go from 39900 to 40900 ;)

Cheers!

I want to expand my stadium but I get the message: “Our financial situation isn’t comfortable enough to expand our stadium”. Ok, I don’t have dozens of millions, but my financial situations isn’t that bad. Even more it’s good according to the board.
So what’s the logic? Is the stadiumexpansion a certain percentage of your general financial situation?
For instance do you need to have 40M if the expansioncost is 4M.

Cheers

If you receive this message it means your financial situation would turn into “bad” or “terrible” as a result of the expansion…the calculation behind this is

factor = your money / (departments cost + player wages)

if factor < 6 (terrible)
if 6 < factor < 12 (bad)
if 12 < factor < 24 (regular)
if 24 < factor < 48 (good)
if factor > 48 (excellent)

We need to add that to the game help :)

I suppose the numbers are in millions.
Strange. My financial situation would become “regular” when I deduct the expansion. Is this a bug?

Not millions, the factor is the result of the formula, for example:

money = 8,000,000
departments = 200,000
player wages = 200,000
factor = 8,000,000 / (200,000 + 200,000) = 20 (regular)

If the expansion costs 4,000,000, you’d end up with 4,000,000

4,000,000 / (200,000 + 200,000) = 10 (bad)

Better now? :)
