I have noticed that many players with 31 y.o. are being transfer listed lately. Does a player gets older than 31 or there is some kind of retirement implemented already that no player gets through 32+?

From the Wiki:

“Retirement
Unfortunately a soccer player’s career has to come to an end. On Ruby Soccer that happens to players between 36 and 40 years old, when they announce their retirement at the end of the next season. The older a player become, more likely he is to announce his retirement.”

So the players should still play many seasons after 31.

I think getting rid of players aged around 31 is just an old habit from Managersim.

You’re right Toni, but that will probably become a habit on RS as well as soon as we implement the skills decreasing logic for “old” players. For now you can expect a player to “live” and keep his skills levels at least until 36 yo.

Now, in real life, the players play well until 33 y/o
Figo (35y/o) still “the best” in Italy
But its ok, normal after 31, start to begin the end:)

Thanks for all your replies!
And I hope this skill decreasing script takes time to be implemented, I have some old players that are really helping my team, lol :)

Gabriel is it still worthy to buy a player with 30 years? When will you implement the “old” logic? eheh

thanks,
Ricardo Marques

That’s a good question Ricardo :-)

I think it still worthy, you have enough time to enjoy your player before we implement the “old” logic. In fact, without this logic he will still be able to evolve.

Cheers.
