Considering that Chelsea were not the first team to be banned in this way, Switzerland’s FC Sion were the first team earlier this year in april to be banned??? Reportedly there was a contract violation and fifa’s dispute resolution chamber has issued the ban. chelsea can appeal to the CAS, but then if there has been a violation, the outcome will be the same…

I am sure, apart from the swiss locals and the concerned club fans, no one might have heard about fifa banning any club for contract breach. will more clubs be dragged into this??? interesting to see

Machester United will probably be banned in the same way too, for talent pouching. Serves them about right I say

read in bbc that AS Roma were banned for two windows for similar offence in 2004, which was later reduced to one transfer window by CAS.
